Marathon Day 2 Economy Updates and Upcoming Gameplay Patches

The Marathon development team confirms their first hotfixes and next week's content patch after they deployed the game to Tau Ceti. The updates aim to stabilize in game economies and fix entitlement issues for Deluxe Edition players while adjusting tactical gameplay elements according to early player findings.

Bungie is changing the standard LUX currency bundle values to make it easier for players to buy items. The $10 (or regional equivalent) bundle is being increased from 1100 LUX to 1120 LUX. The change includes a base amount of 1000 plus a bonus of 120.

Players who purchased the $10 bundle before this adjustment will receive a 20 LUX credit for each bundle they bought. The team has recognized store item pricing feedback from customers and is working on bettering premium cosmetics value at stores.

The next week will deliver a technical update that will enhance multiple aspects of Perimeter map and player loadouts. The changes will help players move better through the map while staying alive during their initial match time.

The maximum distance players can see objective markers has been extended from 10 meters to 20 meters. Perimeter will now experience higher spawning rates for both Munitions Crates and Medical Cabinets. Sponsored Kits from MIDA Arachne and CyberAcme will now provide players with more initial ammunition when they start gameplay.

The technical issues that blocked Deluxe Edition items at launch have been resolved. Affected players will receive 150 LUX as compensation for the disruption with delivery scheduled for March 7 at 9 AM PT. The delivery of Twitch Drops and Server Slam rewards to player mailboxes will continue until all players receive their items. Players must create space in their Vaults before they can obtain their items.

The development team is currently prioritizing an investigation into "Weasel" error codes. The team has successfully reduced disconnection issues through their mitigation efforts but they still need to finish development on a complete solution. Players who experience drop issues should submit their Bungie ID along with their location details to the official community channels for troubleshooting purposes.

The majority of wired currency purchases that had crediting account delays now function correctly. Players who still experience delays between their transactions and LUX showing up in their accounts should report the delay for manual verification.
