Nomion Games Launches Rush is Real Tactical Shooter Project
The team from Battlestate Games which developed Escape from Tarkov has established their own studio after departing from Battlestate games due to recent administration problems and legal fines in Moscow. The studio lost its two PR department leaders on 27 February 2026 when Dmitry Ogorodnikov and German Terekhov departed to create Nomion Games.
Nomion Games is developing a new shooter game called Rush is Real. The project introduces its own special approach to the tactical shooter genre which uses psychological pressure and high pressure situations instead of using common gameplay mechanics. The founders built the project according to three main elements which they considered essential for success.
- Decision Consequences: The player must decide which actions to take because every choice brings about specific effects that change the game environment.
- Constant Pressure: The gameplay requires players to make quick decisions because any delay will put them in danger.
- High Stakes Mechanics: The developers create a game experience which shows players both high risk situations and extreme environmental challenges.
The developers who moved from Battlestate Games to Nomion Games encountered major changes in their work. The team closed its main development path for Rush is Real while keeping development activities flexible to upgrade game mechanics during production. The game will present its new characters and maps together with the main gameplay patterns which will be used in the game during the second quarter of 2026.
Nomion Games has established itself as a new company which develops games during a period of change for the creators of Escape from Tarkov. Battlestate Games operates its main game while Ogorodnikov and Terekhov create a more focused shooting experience. Nomion Games plans to use its tactical shooter experience to create a product which reaches both existing fans and new players who seek fresh gameplay challenges.
Technical details about Rush is Real and its initial alpha footage will follow the mechanic deep dives which take place later this year.
