POCO X8 Pro/Max 5G Global Launch and Technical Specifications
POCO has set the global and Indian launch of the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max 5G for March 17 2026. This news follows some performance leaks and it looks like these phones will be among the first to have MediaTeks newest chips in some markets. The online event kicks off at 5:30 PM IST (8:00 PM GMT+8).

POCO X8 Pro Max 5G Top Tier Performance
The X8 Pro Max is supposed to be the series powerhouse. Benchmark scores suggest it’ll come with Android 16 ready to go. Here’s a quick look at what it offers

- Screen 6.83 inch 1.5K AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate
- Battery 8,500mAh for global versions but there are whispers of a 9,000mAh battery for certain regions

POCO X8 Pro Specs and Regional Differences
The standard X8 Pro is more of a mid range option. It has the same metal frame and IP69K rating as the Max but it’s a bit smaller and has a different chip

- Screen 6.59 inch 1.5K AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate
- Cameras 50MP main camera with OIS and a 20MP front camera
- Battery The global model has a 6,500mAh battery while the Indian version should have a 7,560mAh battery
A Geekbench listing for the X8 Pro Max (model number 2602BPC18G) shows a single core score of 2,659 and a multi core score of 8,386. The listing mentions 12GB of RAM and Android 16. It seems like these phones are international versions of the Redmi Turbo 5 series tweaked for a global audience.
Some early pricing info from European retailers shows there will be a few different configurations at launch. Expect all models to come in Black White and Green.
