Kingston Introduces High Capacity DC3000ME Gen 5 NVMe SSD With 30.72TB Storage For Scalable Artificial Intelligence And Modern Data Center Infrastructure
Kingston Digital Inc announced its professional storage expansion through the introduction of a high capacity storage solution which became available on April 27 2026. The latest DC3000ME Gen 5 U.2 NVMe SSD product offers data centers of modern day a complete storage solution through its 30.72 terabyte storage capability. The memory manufacturer introduced this product to provide solutions for artificial intelligence and cloud computing environments whose operational requirements need high speed access to data.
The hardware achieves its superior performance capabilities through its implementation of PCIe 5.0 NVMe interface which delivers faster speeds than all earlier hardware versions. Kingston documents the drive capabilities which include a maximum sequential read speed of 14 gigabytes per second and a random read capability of 2.8 million IOPS. The drive has backward compatibility with PCIe 4.0 systems but it requires a special U.2 server connector as its connector which makes the device suitable only for enterprise level server systems.
The company uses 3D eTLC NAND memory along with essential enterprise security protocols to create internal reliability of their products. The DC3000ME system includes power loss protection which secures data from electrical interruptions. Organizations can use the hardware capabilities of AES 256 bit encryption and TCG Opal 2.0 self encrypting drive capabilities to achieve complete compliance with international security regulations. The industry now moves toward more intense workloads during the latter part of the decade which leads to this rollout operational framework that maintains continuous quality of service.
Cameron Crandall the data center business manager at Kingston highlighted the importance of this milestone during the product launch. He explained that AI and cloud technologies need to expand storage capacity because of their ongoing growth which requires safe storage methods that maintain system reliability. Crandall stated that the launch of the 30.72TB DC3000ME marks an important milestone for the portfolio by delivering exactly the performance that large scale environments require.
Kingston will provide a five year limited warranty and specialized technical support for all capacities in the new family as part of their 2026 release schedule. The hardware long term support strategy provides enterprises with the confidence they need to use the equipment in critical business operations. The 30.72 terabyte flagship product has not been given a market price yet the drive has entered the global supply chain for data center providers.
