Motorola Moto G47 Launches Featuring Android 16 And 108MP Camera With Durable IP64 Rated Design

Motorola Moto G47 Official Launch Brings Android 16 Software Durable Design Materials And 108MP Camera Redesign For European Mid Range Markets

Motorola has introduced the Moto G47 which features a durable design and runs on Android 16. The Moto G47 marks the official launch of Motorola's 2026 mid range phone series. The latest model skips ahead to replace the G45 which launched in late 2024 by using a unified design identity that matches the G37 series. The manufacturer upgraded the device's appearance while also implementing stronger materials to create an IP64 rating for dust and water protection and MIL STD 810H certification for environmental protection. The Water Touch technology keeps the screen functional because it can detect touch inputs even when water droplets land on the display.

The new 6.67 inch Full HD plus display brings significant visual improvements to the system. The Motorola technical specifications state that the display operates at 120Hz while Gorilla Glass 7i protects the screen from damage, which represents a major upgrade from 720p displays and earlier glass technologies found in previous models. The display longevity feature comes with three color options for Nautical Blue, Fuchsia Red, and Impenetrable Pantone which maintain the company's partnership with the color authority.

The Moto G47 uses a Dimensity 6300 processor which requires 8GB of RAM to operate. Users can choose between two storage options which consist of 128GB and 256GB of expandable UFS 2.2 memory. The Android 16 based Hello UX powers the complete internal software experience of the device. The battery engineers increased capacity to 5200mAh to meet power requirements. The battery allows 20W charging while supporting 6W reverse wired charging which enables users to charge small devices, such as wireless earbuds, through the mobile port.

The optical system has received a complete redesign with a 108MP primary sensor that features an f 1.7 aperture. Motorola has confirmed this lens supports 3x lossless zoom, providing higher detail for distant subjects without the need for a dedicated telephoto glass. The system consists of a 2MP macro vision lens and a light sensor which controls the ambient light exposure settings. The front camera system now uses an 8MP sensor while the entire system benefits from enhanced audio performance which includes Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and a standard 3.5mm audio jack for high resolution audio playback.

The Moto G47 is entering the European market with a starting price of 319 Euro. The retail package comes with a TurboPower 20W charger and a custom protective case which provides users with all essential essential hardware they need to start using the device. The device provides strong connectivity through Bluetooth 5.4, dual band WiFi, and NFC which enables users to make digital payments, making it an ideal device for work and entertainment in the 2026 time period.
