NuPhy Air V3 Keyboard Series Expands With Ultra Slim Air 65 and Air 100 Models Featuring Custom Gateron Switches and Long Battery Life
NuPhy has expanded its Air V3 keyboard series through the introduction of new ultra slim keyboard designs. The Air 65 V3 and Air 100 V3 represent the final addition to NuPhy's present low profile keyboard collection. The new models function alongside the existing 75% model, which provides users with additional footprint choices while maintaining the series' signature ultra slim design. The two models provide users with different desk space options through their two available color options, which include light and dark tones.
The series operates with Gateron x NuPhy switches that function beneath their dual molded PBT keycaps. NuPhy developed these switches to achieve a movement distance of 3.5mm while providing three different resistance settings which include linear options at 42gf and 45gf and a tactile option that operates at 50gf. The manufacturer states that the internal switch geometry has been adjusted to reduce typing fatigue, while the hot swappable, solder free PCB design enables easy maintenance and extensive user customization.
The device uses a flexible connection system which enables three connection options through its wired USB Type C port and its 2.4 GHz wireless mode with 1000 Hz polling rate and its Bluetooth 5.0 connection which operates at 125 Hz. The Air 65 V3 contains a 2500 mAh battery which enables 67 hours of operation with RGB lights on, while power consumption changes according to the chassis size. The Air 100 V3 uses a 4000 mAh battery, which allows for 73 hours of continuous use. The two devices provide up to 1000 hours of operation time when their backlighting function remains turned off.
NuPhy has switched from its previous design methods to a system which allows users to control their devices through interchangeable components. Users can select their preferred tactile experience from the new kits, which now include two rotary control types that feature high profile and low profile design options. The design change was made to address community feedback, which resulted in specific improvements through the refinement process.
The series launches with the Air 65 V3 starting at $129.95, while the Air 100 V3 with its larger design costs $149.95. The launch confirms the brand's commitment to maintaining a unified aesthetic and functional standard across its professional grade mechanical peripheral catalog.
