OnePlus Pad 4 Replaces Pad 3 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Performance and 3.4K Display Launching April 30
OnePlus has stopped using the Pad 3 Pro name because it wants to release the Pad 4 instead. The manufacturer made a strategic announcement which disproves market analysts and enthusiasts who expected OnePlus to launch the Pad 3 Pro. The company will introduce the OnePlus Pad 4 as its next flagship device instead of continuing its flagship series with the Pro model. The upcoming release serves as the direct successor to the previous generation because the new architecture brings about major performance enhancements.
The hardware system uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor as its main component, which enables the tablet to achieve high performance levels. The manufacturer claims through benchmark data that the device can reach an AnTuTu score above 4 million points, which establishes it as a leading portable computing device. The processor receives support from memory configurations that allow up to 12 GB of RAM, combined with internal storage limits that reach 512 GB.
The display system uses a 13.2 inch screen, which shows 3.4K resolution videos at 144Hz. OnePlus built its hardware system to support native Desktop mode and Stylo Pro stylus and keyboard accessory usage, which allows users to work at high productivity levels. The device uses a 13,380 mAh power cell, which provides energy for extended use while its 80W charging system decreases downtime during demanding operating periods.
The manufacturer will introduce the product officially on April 30, while the first launch will start in India. The company plans to start international sales after it completes its new branding process to meet demand in different parts of the world. OnePlus has decided to stop using the Pro name because it wants to unify its high end tablet products into a single premium high performance brand for the 2026 fiscal period.
