OneXPlayer X2 Mini Modular Handheld Launch With AMD Ryzen AI Max 395 Processor OLED Display And Swappable Batteries For Gaming And Work

OneXPlayer has introduced its X2 Mini which marks its entry into the modular handheld market. OneXPlayer has officially pulled back the curtain on the X2 Mini, a portable computing platform designed to blur the distinction between dedicated handheld consoles, standalone tablets, and compact workstations. The device functions as a direct competitor to premium handhelds because the manufacturer has built it with detachable controller inputs and a unique keyboard interface. The unit is built to enable users to switch between gaming setups and work functions without facing major obstacles.

The hardware experience uses an 8.8 inch OLED display which maintains a high 144Hz refresh rate and supports native Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) functionality. The internal system architecture uses an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor which operates on a compact chip that contains 16 Zen 5 cores and a Radeon 8060S GPU based on RDNA 3.5 technology. The high end silicon enables the system to handle a thermal design power (TDP) limit of 120W which required the system to include an external liquid cooling system for thermal maintenance during heavy graphics operations.

The device includes practical design features which make it more attractive to users. OneXPlayer has prioritized longevity and serviceability through its design which enables people to change batteries rapidly without needing to open the device. The X2 Mini control system uses detachable physical controls which create a modular design that helps it move away from standard handheld systems that have fixed controllers.

The X2 Mini will enter the high end luxury market according to market expectations which exist until the official price point is confirmed. The X2 Mini will require a major financial commitment because current market trends show that Lenovo Legion Go 2 and other competing hardware devices have set high premium pricing standards. The OneXPlayer gaming device which aims for high portable performance will not receive a retail launch date confirmation until April 16, 2026.
