Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi A7 and A7 Pro to its entry level product line after launching the 5G version of its product line. The standard A7 display measures 6.88 inches while the Pro model extends to 6.9 inches with a maximum brightness of 800 nits.
Unisoc T7250 silicon powers both devices as their central processing unit. The standard model uses 3 gigabytes of LPDDR4X memory whereas the Pro model advanced to 4 gigabytes. The devices both have 64 gigabytes of internal storage which users can expand by 2 terabytes through an external card slot. The two devices have identical camera specifications because both devices feature a single 13 megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel front camera.
The two models show their differences in battery power capacity. The standard Redmi A7 houses a 5200 milliamp hour battery, whereas the Pro variant pushes that figure to 6300 milliamp hours. The handsets allow wired charging at 15 watts while enabling reverse wired charging at 7.5 watts. Both devices share the same external chassis elements which include an IP52 durability rating and a side biometric security scanner and a 3.5 millimeter analog audio port.
The Pro model demonstrates superior software support duration compared to standard models. The A7 Pro shifts to HyperOS 3 which operates on Android 16 and provides four years of operating system updates plus six years of security updates. The Pro model delivers superior value for users who need their devices to remain operational over extended periods.
