ASUS have just announced (AMD ver, Intel ver) their latest in gaming hardware with the release of the new ROG Hero 10 and ROG Hero 10 Plus laptops. 2026 series utilizes high performance silicon and a completely re designed thermal solution that will aim to reduce the performance throttling issues associated with these high wattage CPUs while gaming. ASUS ROG’s official launch statement said the hardware will be designed to allow you to run current AAA titles at peak clock speed.

Top end configs on ROG Hero 10 Plus use an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D chip based on the Zen 5 architecture, 16 cores and 32 threads running at a boost clock of 5.4 GHz with 144MB of cache, these will be accompanied by a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti chip with 16GB of GDDR7 and a bandwidth of 896GB/sec. Alternative configurations will also be available, featuring Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090.

New for ROG Celestial Display 2.0 on these machines, which provides a 16 inch display with 2560x1600 resolution and an ultra high refresh rate of 300Hz and 3ms response time to ensure smooth game play even in fast paced scenarios, the display also covers 100% of the DCI P3 color gamut. AGLR (Anti Glare and Low Reflection) display tech is implemented to improve ambient light reflections on the display by up to 55%.

To cool the Zen 5 and GDDR7 components the new laptops feature Ice Canyon Cooling Architecture 3.0. A dual fan and 7 heat pipe system that routes hot air in a circular pattern, away from the component. This will improve airflow of the hot air and maintain the clock speed on the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D chip under heavy load.

No word yet on international pricing as these are exclusively available to pre order within China and are said to be coming to selected international regions later in the year.
