CATL and Yutong Group Expand Fifteen Year Strategic Partnership to Advance Global Sustainable Energy and Total Scenario Electrification for Commercial Vehicles
To hasten the global change towards a sustainable energy economy, CATL and Yutong Group officially signed a Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding. It is seen as a huge extension to a 15 year relationship between both organizations. Based on the formal Memorandum of Understanding, both organizations endeavor to combine their strengths in technology and set international standards for automotive quality.
Leveraging a common industrial presence in more than 60 countries, a car battery integrated joint plan aims at building a synchronized traveling, logistics and daily life ecosystem. The drive towards a clean change in the transportation system will be sped up and guaranteed by perfectly compatible power systems and vehicle design. Over a decade of exclusive use of CATL power, Yutong Group exclusively used CATL batteries in their entire electrified fleet of vehicles. Since then, CATL had committed itself to giving the former prioritized supply and individualized support for high quality growth. Through the close collaboration of a supplier and customer to a partnership and close cooperation between both parties, the 2 companies are moving forward from the stage of supplying and using to the realization of total scenario electrification for commercial vehicles and public transport.
The cooperation is characterized with heavy duty battery swapping and brand synergy. With the integration of battery swapping infrastructure in CATL and the automobile engineering strength of Yutong, the 2 companies are committed to realizing vehicle battery separated driving for ultra fast refueling of buses and reduce the operational costs for commercial fleets, taking the lead in creating a new paradigm of the industrial transportation by reducing to the least refilling time of a fossil fuels vehicle but zero carbon emission. Combining their global marketing forces and build brand matrix to lead the revolution of zero carbon transportation, CATL and Yutong Group will be the leading power in international market of quality electrified cars.
