Lexus officially debuted the TZ as its 1st electric vehicle featuring 3 rows of seating. The vehicle enters a competitive segment currently occupied by large electric SUVs like the Hyundai IONIQ 9 the Volvo EX90 and the Rivian R1S. According to the official Lexus reveal the TZ is built on the TNGA platform and offers 2 distinct lithium ion battery capacities of 76.96 kWh or 95.82 kWh. The manufacturer estimates a maximum driving range of 483 kilometers on a full charge.
Lexus TZ models come with all wheel drive as their standard system which uses all four wheels to create better vehicle control through improved torque management. The powertrain generates a total of 420 horsepower for its output. The vehicle supports fast charging at 150 kW which enables battery charging from 10% to 80% in about 35 minutes. The SUV maintains its suitability for family road trips because of its charging capabilities.
The cabin uses the Lexus Interface multimedia system together with a Mark Levinson audio system which delivers 21 speakers for superior sound quality.
