Forza Horizon 6 Launch Sets New Steam Record for Xbox Game Studios and Confirms Future PlayStation 5 Release Plans
The launch of Japan set racing game Forza Horizon 6 has also met with a huge commercial success in the form of a new simultaneous player record for Xbox Game Studios on Steam. Made by Playground Games the much anticipated racing title, saw itself reach 273,148 concurrent players in the platform just after the game fully went public, shortly after its early access for the Premium Edition only.
This number just topped the previous record set by the first person shooter, Halo Infinite, which reached 272,586 simultaneous players after launch. The driving simulator thus holds the record for the most successful launch in history, for this label, on the platform, despite the slight issue experienced by several gamers on the opening of the server.
Currently, Forza Horizon 6 can be enjoyed on PC and Xbox Series consoles, and also, although not yet fully dated, the developers, Xbox Game Studios, confirmed that the game is expected on the PlayStation 5. This opening for the franchise certainly bodes well with them heading to release on another console.
