Meizu Note 16 and Note 16 Pro: Unveiling Soon with New Designs
Meizu is gearing up to introduce two new additions to the market: the Note 16 and its more advanced sibling, the Note 16 Pro. The company has now officially announced when we can expect to see these devices, and even gave us a little hint at what they will look like.
When and What to Expect Visually
The grand launch is on May 13th. Along with the date, Meizu also announced an official image with both the phones. It looks like we're in for some interesting design choices. The standard Meizu Note 16 is available in a vibrant red and a classy gold version. Its camera module is highlighted by a unique octagonal decorative border.
The Note 16 Pro, on the other hand, is shown in a new cool blue color. It retains the more classic, curved camera module at the back. Both phones, the teaser image says, will come with those trendy flat edges so trendy with the new smartphone designs.
Smarter Software on Board
Other than appearance, Meizu has also leaked by accident that these new phones will be using their Flyme OS, and it will be full of AI features. This implies a smarter, more intuitive interface, but we'll need to see the full presentation to hear the specifics on these AI features.
Rumors About the Meizu Note 16's Internals
While Meizu is keeping some things under wraps for now in the lead-up to release, a bit has already been whispered about the standard Note 16 courtesy of suggestions by Chinese portal My Drivers. According to reports by this site, the Note 16 could ship fueled by a Unisoc T765 processor. In terms of screen, we might have in store a fairly large 6.78-inch display.
For the camera, rumors suggest a dual-camera setup at the back with a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a 2-megapixel support sensor. For selfies and video calls galore, you'll be treated to an 8-megapixel front camera.
We'll be keeping our ears to the ground for further leaks as the release date draws near on the 13th of May.
