GIGABYTE Aorus Master 16 Gaming Laptop Features AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D Graphics RTX 5090 OLED Display And Local AI Processing Power
GIGABYTE has also announced its Aorus Master 16 gaming laptop. The company is advertising it as a high performance workstation, fit for both gaming and heavy professional workloads, including local AI computations. The device is stated to have desktop level processing power, in a mobile format, according to the GIGABYTE product launch.
Visual capabilities are handled by a 16 inch OLED display with 2.5K resolution and a very fast, but low resolution, 240Hz refresh rate and 0.2ms response time. Supporting both HDR 1000 and Dolby Vision formats and with 100% coverage of the DCI P3 color space, colors on the Aorus Master 16s display are accurate.
The top tier configuration includes the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card. A hardware MUX Switch for routing graphics output either automatically or manually between the internal and discrete graphics processor is also available. As for AI, the laptop outputs up to 1824 AI TOPS, which should be enough to run a full blown generative model without relying on cloud processing power.
To cool the powerful internals, GIGABYTE has equipped the Aorus Master 16 with a WINDFORCE INFINITY EX cooling system, with a vapor chamber and Frost Fan 2.0 technology that pushes up to 230W of heat away from the hardware, and it all fits within an extremely thin 19mm laptop.
Customization and all the AI features are available through the GiMATE software, which can handle both on device image generation with GiMATE Creator and act as a helper tool for developers with the GiMATE Coder for automatically completing code and checking for errors in Visual Studio Code.
Audio output comes from a total of four built in Dual Force speakers powered by Dolby Atmos and the Smart Amplifier for maximized loudness. Aesthetic elements include configurable RGB illumination in both the front and the back of the laptop, and a small projector built in that displays the Aorus logo on the surface in front of the display. The pricing information has yet to be revealed.
