Grove Street Games Announces BeastLink Original Kaiju Combat Game Featuring Dual Character Control and Physics Based Destruction for Next Gen Platforms

Grove Street Games became a prominent name in the industry after the release of Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy The Definitive Edition. That collection of 3 classic titles was widely discussed for its technical hurdles and visual inconsistencies. Moving beyond that period the developer has now officially announced an original project titled BeastLink through a new reveal trailer. This project represents a significant departure for the studio as they attempt to establish a new reputation in the action genre.

BeastLink is an action game that focuses on giant creatures which people know as kaiju. The official announcement states that the game includes a main feature which enables players to control two different characters at the same time. Players can control both human characters and giant monsters which they use to destroy everything within the game. The footage shows that the game allows players to destroy everything through physics based destruction which enables them to break down buildings while they explore the game world. The game's aesthetic takes direct inspiration from classic monster movies like Godzilla and Gamera by using a style that makes the game feel like an interactive movie.

The developers have not yet shared a specific launch window for the full version of the game. The studio announced that they will conduct a closed beta test on 8 May to collect player feedback while testing system stability. People who want to join the test need to complete registration through the Steam platform. Besides developing for PC BeastLink will also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series platforms.

Grove Street Games announced BeastLink as their first original intellectual property since the past few years. The studio tests their internal creative abilities by stopping work on remasters and ports. The team is currently developing polished combat and large scale environmental interaction after they completed their work on the Grand Theft Auto remasters. The official Steam page will provide interested players with information about the testing phase scheduled for 8 May and upcoming hardware compatibility updates.
