Honor Pad 20 Tablet Launch Features Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Hardware and 3K Soft Light Displays for Enhanced Study and Entertainment Workflows

The Honor brand recently broadened its mid tier devices line with the recent release of Honor Pad 20 tablets. According to Honor official product announcement, this new device is meant to allow for seamless switching between study sessions and personal entertainment. In addition to standard glossy versions of this new hardware, there are also special Soft Light models which are designed with physical paper textured displays to diminish eye strain.

The screen is one aspect where Honor did not compromise. This 12.1 inch IPS display comes with a 16 10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3K. While running at a high of 120 Hz it is capable of reaching peak brightness levels of 700 nits. Honor Engineered the display to offer 100 percent coverage of the Display P3 color gamut, allowing this screen to reproduce an astonishing 1,070,000,000 individual colors. The display is still just as accurate and offers similar colors in its Soft Light variation which is only designed to diffuse reflections rather than reduce actual color accuracy of the screen.

Under the hood this tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. With memory options that go up to 12GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, these tablets have plenty of computing power. The device boasts a modest 8MP rear camera, along with an 8MP front facing camera ideal for video calls. To deliver a robust sound experience, the chassis is equipped with a system that boasts six stereo speakers. Wireless communication relies on modern Wi Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Finally, the large 10,100 mAh battery keeps the device running and with 66W wired charging speeds it can be fully topped up in very little time.

To facilitate high powered multitasking workflows, the Honor Pad 20 features a highly simplified user interface design. The operating system mirrors a more standard desktop like layout enabling seamless transitions between several different applications at once. Cross platform file sharing is also available across mobile devices running on iOS, HarmonyOS, or any variety of the Android operating system allowing you to smoothly transition data between all brand ecosystem devices.

The pricing on these tablets ranges based on storage configuration and display type. A 6GB/128GB unit in a regular glossy display can be purchased for $308. If a user opts for a larger 8GB/128GB configuration they will have to pay $338 or $368 for the Soft Light display version of the same unit. A 8GB/256GB model goes for $397 and again, for the Soft Light display variant they would be required to pay an extra $49 on top of the cost for a total of $447. Finally, a fully maxed out 12GB/256GB model with the Soft Light display can be purchased for $500.
