Infinix HOT 70 Budget Smartphone Launches Worldwide for 125 Dollars Featuring Long Lasting Battery and One Tap AI Hardware Button
Infinix also expanded its line of inexpensive mobile hardware with the release of the HOT 70, the successor to the HOT 60. According to Infinix's product announcement, this budget device features and emphasized on the use of both long lasting battery and artificial intelligence and launched worldwide for the first time starting at $125.
On the front side of the phone, a 6.78 inch IPS display is featured. This display uses a resolution of HD Plus, refresh rates of 120 Hz, and a brightness of up to 700 nits, that makes it easy to see even in direct sunlight. Behind this display is the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chip, with available 6 or 8 gigabytes of RAM and a storage option up to 256 gigabytes.
A 50 megapixel camera is on the main camera array and an 8 megapixel camera on the front of the device. AI Eraser, AI Extender, and AI Live Photo (that automatically selects the best frame for moving images) features are available and all powered by the camera hardware button: the One Tap AI Button.
Once the One Tap AI Button is pushed for any length of time, it uses a different feature. Pushing the button briefly opens a window that allows you to pull data from the display and have it summarized by One Tap AI FlashMemo, which saves these text snippets in the AI MindHub so they can be retrieved easily by searching through keywords. Pushing it for a longer period of time, opens the Folax AI that gives you 5 choice for powerful language models (like ChatGPT and Google Gemini) that allows you to find their respective answers side by side and easily navigable on your display.
Additional hardware and software features in the phone are the Folax Speaker Cleaner feature (that uses sonic frequencies to push dirt and dust out of the speaker grill), the XGuard Full Link Protection suite (that manages data security), Pure Voice (to cancel background noise during phone calls), and UltraLink (that allows your phone to send information to other nearby phones up to 1.5 kilometers away without cellular coverage).
The device runs off of a 6000 mAh power cell and Android 16 with the XOS 16 skin over top of the operating system. Infinix is offering 3 main OS updates and 5 years of security updates. The phone retails for $125 for the 4GB RAM / 128GB storage option, $180 for the 8GB RAM / 128GB storage option and $190 for the 6GB RAM / 256GB storage option.
The phone is available in 6 different colorways, each of which features unique design elements on the back panel. The orange color features a thermosensitive back that can change colors at will according to the temperature and has a colorful, gradient design. The purple and green colored phones have a gradient colored ring around the camera module (a Crystal Mood Island ring) that uses a reflection pattern to mimic the appearance of great depth.
