MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Platform Launch Features ARM C1 Cores for High Performance Gaming and Power Efficiency in New Mobile Devices
MediaTek has released its Dimensity 7500 mobile platform the first commercial chipset that features ARM C1 processor cores. As confirmed by MediaTek’s official press, this chip is designed to enhance power efficiency when dealing with simple application workflows, while raising performance targets in popular mobile games.
The system uses an 4 nm manufacturing process and is an octa core chip comprising four high performance ARM C1 Pro cores with a clock speed of 2.6 GHz, and four ARM C1 Nano power efficient cores at 2.0 GHz. Graphics processing is delegated to an ARM Mali G625 MC2 component and the device benefits from an updated Neural Processing Unit that offers more than 100% faster performance compared to the last generation of chipsets.
The device offers compatibility with LPDDR5 memory, dual channel UFS 3.1 storage, multiple GNS systems and W Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 support. The built in modem allows for a maximum 5.2 Gbps download speeds under optimum network circumstances.
The Dimensity 7500 comes with a display specification of up to 1344 by 2800 pixels resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz, and the company provides support for up to 200 MP camera sensors as well as the option for 4K recording in 10 bit format.
The internal benchmarks of the company reveal that the chip comes with 5% 9% better power efficiency and 4% 7% improved gaming performance as well as an 68% speedup in video transcoding, a 40% speedup in file transfers and a 30% reduction in app switching times. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is expected to be one of the first consumer devices on the market to feature the new MediaTek silicon according to the latest news of the industry.
