Nuu B40 5G US Market Entrance Featuring Dual AMOLED Vista Displays and Android 15 for Affordable High Utility Performance and Camera Quality

Nuu is making a notable entrance into the US market with its newest budget smartphone, bringing a rare hardware element to an affordable device. The brand new Nuu B40 5G sets itself apart by boasting not just one but two usable AMOLED displays a hardware feature that is usually reserved for expensive foldable devices or premium flagship smartphones. Nuu claims that this dual display smartphone is a high utility option without a high price tag as it will launch at a standard price of $249.99.

The most outstanding feature of the Nuu B40 5G is a secondary screen located on the back of the smartphone, dubbed “Vista Display” by Nuu. This 1.6 inch diagonal AMOLED screen offers a 460 x 228 resolution and 500 nits of peak brightness. Placed next to the rear camera array on the back of the device, this screen is fully interactive, and it allows the user to tell the time, check charging status, read message notifications, view their step count, or control media playback without turning the main display on. Users can also use the Vista Display as a real time viewfinder for the rear cameras, while its shutter button feature can assist them in capturing higher quality selfies with the main rear sensor.

Up front, the Nuu B40 5G features a 6.7 inch curved AMOLED screen that can handle the smooth, flowing animations of a 120Hz refresh rate. The display, which offers a Full HD Plus resolution (2400 x 1080), has a maximum peak brightness of 1100 nits and is designed to allow for easier viewing even when in direct sunlight.

Internally, the Nuu B40 5G is powered by the Dimensity 7025 from MediaTek. This processor is accompanied by 8GB RAM and 256GB built in storage. The B40 5G does not have support for expandable storage, so the maximum internal storage available is 256GB. It also runs on the new Android 15 operating system, which is always nice to see at this price point, though Nuu is yet to promise an update timeline for the software.

The Nuu B40 5G comes with a large 5,000 mAh battery that promises all day use on a single charge, and when the phone does need topping up, it can be charged up via 33W wired fast charging. A few notable specs include an in display fingerprint sensor for biometric unlocking, Dual SIM capability, Bluetooth 5.2, and the full array of 5G bands. The device is available in only one color choice: “midnight grey”, offering a simple yet effective design to match the unique dual screen setup.

For photography, the Nuu B40 5G uses a dual camera setup on its back that consists of a 64MP main sensor paired with a 2MP macro camera. On the front, the smartphone has a 16MP hole punch camera for video calls and taking selfies that utilize the main rear display for viewing them before taking the shot. This dual camera setup on the Nuu B40 5G paired with the second display give photographers a handy tool to take better quality selfies.
