NVIDIA GTC Taipei to Highlights Vera Rubin Platform and N1X AI PC Supply Chain

NVIDIA Vera Rubin Platform Mass Production Starts H2 Amid Global Alliances for Next AI Factory Infrastructure Boom

NVIDIA kicks off large scale hardware transition in GTC Taipei, leading the industry's focus shift away from current GB300 platform and towards the new generation Vera Rubin platform. According to local industrial supply chain news, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang confirmed Rubin platform is projected to begin mass production in H2 this year and it leads to widespread preparation in Taiwan server, PC and advanced manufacturing industries for the next AI Factory infrastructure boom.

The GTC Taipei is a large congregation of the global hardware industry, with Huang playing host for strategic discussions between major industry executives including TSMC Joint COO YJ Mii, Quanta Chairman Barry Lam, Wistron Chairman Simon Lin, ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih, MediaTek CEO Rick Tsai, Pegatron Chairman TH Tung and Foxconn AI software chief Jane Yang. The appearance of those executives emphasizes the critical role of the Taiwan manufacturers in delivering NVIDIA's hardware roadmap.

Outside the Taiwan manufacturing network, NVIDIA also takes an aggressive effort to solidify its memory supply. In addition to the main supply chain meeting, Huang met the high end executives of SK Hynix and Samsung at the Korean Partner Night dinner, which indicates that NVIDIA aims to maintain the highest end system fabrication in Taiwan while securing high bandwidth memory components from its Korean partners for large scale Rubin platform delivery.

The timeline of the mass production means key server integrators like Foxconn, Wistron and Quanta are stepping into the transition phase in Q3 with the shipment volume increasing to Q4. Other major suppliers like Wiwynn, Inventec, Gigabyte and ASUS start their mass production in late Q3. Full cabinet systems with the Vera Rubin platform are estimated to ship to end users starting from Q1 next year.

In the PC space, NVIDIA's in house Arm architecture based N1X platform for AI PCs is expected to first appear in the current week. The debut will provide great benefits to MediaTek for silicon development, while PC manufacturers such as Acer, ASUS and MSI has already completed the new product designs prior to the exhibition in Computex.

Momentum of the AI hardware market has remained in a strong pace. While Foxconn and Wistron recorded double digit year on year revenue growth this quarter, revenue of Quanta, ASUS and Gigabyte also achieved upward growth driven by the shipment of the current GB300 systems. Moreover, system integrators such as Gigabyte, ASRock Rack and ASUS are reporting overwhelming demand for the NVIDIA RTX Pro platform which demonstrates strong visibility of shipment throughout the year.
