LG 24U411B Affordable 144Hz IPS Monitor Bridging the Gap Between Office and Gaming Performance
The 24U411B monitor is a newly released and affordable LG panel targeting the gap between office work and low tier gaming. Initially hitting the market in Chinese retail, the monitor gives users a 144Hz display that is generally exclusive to standard office displays for only 649 yuan.
The 23.8 inch panel is an IPS and capable of 1920 x 1080 resolution. Typical budget displays have to cap the refresh rate at 60 or 75 Hz, but the LG 24U411B instead offers users a refresh rate of 144 Hz giving users the smoothness to easily navigate a user interface and to enjoy many competitive gaming titles. The 1ms response time of the monitor gives users less motion blur during gameplay at this affordable price point, and with 99% sRGB color gamut coverage the monitor is ready for most general purpose and artistic use. Users also get a HDR10 capable display for more contrast, as well as AMD FreeSync Premium so that compatible graphics cards don't have to output their frame rate and cause screen tearing.
The monitor doesn't sacrifice modern design even at its entry level price point as it has 3 side bezel less monitors that allow for users to setup 2 displays without there being a large black border between screens. Connection comes through a singular HDMI display port, and also through a 3.5mm jack so that speakers or headphones can be directly connected to the monitor itself. Users can also utilize LG Switch, the software that connects to the monitor. With Flick Safe and Reader Mode functions it allows for reduced backlight flickering and reduced blue light, helping combat eye strain during longer sessions of coding or reading. This monitor gives users a budget friendly option to purchase a high refresh rate display at an extremely low price.
