Lords of the Fallen II Release Window Shifted to Q1 2027

CI Games Announces Lords of the Fallen II Release Date Delay to 2027 for Gameplay Polish and Strategic Market Positioning

A representative of CI Games, Marek Tyminski, has announced that Lords of the Fallen II will be delayed. Teminski stated on the social media platform X that the dark fantasy action role playing sequel will now be released in the first quarter of 2027. The change pushes the title away from its original release window to give the team additional time for feedback implementation and polish the fundamental gameplay.

Official statement reads that the decision to get the release date back was made due to continuing talks with in house play testers. The team has been working intensively with the Gameplay Feedback Team (1 dedicated group of Souls like agents functioning within the broader Launch Creative Team) and they have uncovered numerous specific sectors where focused, extra development time, would benefit the mechanical richness and quality of the game as before it is released.

The additional moths will be dedicated to system integration gameplay iteration and final software shine. The studio plans to take advantage of this additional time to deliver the sequel to a highperfomance standard expected by dark fantasy modern videogames.

Aside from added delay the commercial impact of the new 2027 release date stands to be notable. An earlier release date would mean that Lords of the Fallen II would not be delayed by the Christmas time window where the vast majority of the more well known game releases tend to land. This would mean that it stood a chance of not being overshadowed by the large amount of other major titles released in the last few months of the year.

The developers are redoubling their efforts in order to make a fitting heir to the franchise. We can expect an overview of specific gameplay features sometime in the future however for now it is the new production timetable that takes precedence. We are sure to see more information about the project as it heads toward its early 2027 planned release.
