Ugreen launches NASync DXP GT series featuring DXP2800 GT and DXP4800 GT with AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 processors and high speed 10GbE connectivity

Ugreen has launched a new line up of NAS devices which fall under the NASync DXP GT series. Two new devices are presented: the DXP2800 GT and the DXP4800 GT. Both of these devices are powered by an AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 (4 cores, 8 threads) which as per the Ugreen official launch specs provides 26% improved performance over the older model range, running on their custom UGOS Pro OS.

Both units offer two and four storage drive bays respectively. The DXP2800 GT is entry level with 2 SATA hard drive slots and 2 M.2 NVMe SSD slots providing maximum 80TB storage. A single 10GbE connection and one Type C port and two Type A ports make it available and to top it all an HDMI 2.1 port. This machine is for home cloud, media streaming and personal back up.

The bigger brother, DXP4800 GT is intended for more intensive work loads for businesses with up to 4 hard drives in total. This model has the maximum 144TB of storage and is characterized by 2x10GbE network ports that are teamed for up to 20Gbps networking for high definition video editing, VMs and large amounts of stored data. It adds support for an SD 3.0 card reader and more robust RAID array options.

Both NAS units come with the same range of software. They are equipped to handle Docker containers and VMs and even offer build in video surveillance management and AI image sorting in the pictures management application. Ugreenlink also adds support for remote management and secured access to the NAS devices. In terms of design both units come with aluminum chassis which make them produce around 29 34 dB of noise while in operation. Ugreen has placed the NASync DXP GT series in the upper mid to high range. Without hard drives, the DXP2800 GT sells for $509.99 and the DXP4800 GT for $659.99.
