ViewSonic VX24G26J 4K monitor blends compact design with 160Hz Fast IPS performance for gaming and creative professional workloads
ViewSonic enters a specific, dual duty segment with the introduction of its new, compact VX24G26J 4K monitor, balancing the requirements of both serious gaming and serious creative endeavors into one unit. The screen sports a 23.8 inch Fast IPS panel for pixel responsiveness to keep up with high refresh rates while simultaneously providing excellent detail with its native 4K resolution.
The 3840x2160 pixel resolution on the 23.8 inch screen results in an impressive 185 pixels per inch (ppi) pixel density. Gaming is also on the table for the VX24G26J 4K as ViewSonic has managed to cram in a 160Hz refresh rate and a 1ms grey to grey (Gtg) response time, promising low motion blur and high responsiveness in competitive situations. ViewSonic also confirms that AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G SYNC Compatible certifications are in the works to round out the gaming specs and eliminate screen tearing.
The panel on the VX24G26J 4K promises good performance in the color space as well. It covers 100% of the sRGB spectrum, as well as 95% of both the Display P3 and Adobe RGB spectrums. ViewSonic states that the screen reaches a peak brightness of 400 nits and includes a blue light filter to improve viewer comfort.
A very flexible, highly adjustable stand is also included. Users will be able to adjust the screen’s height, tilt, swivel, and pivot into portrait orientation for those work with documents or coding tasks for hours at a time. Physical connectivity comes via 2 HDMI 2.1 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.4 input. Pricing and retail availability details will be shared by ViewSonic in the coming months.
