A new mid range laptop has arrived from Colorful. The newly announced Rimbook L1 Plus packs an 8 core AMD Ryzen processor, a fast 120 Hz display, and powerful integrated graphics. The single hardware configuration is currently listed for around $886.
The screen spans 16 inches using an IPS panel with a sharp 2560x1600 resolution. According to official product details released by Colorful, this panel covers 100% of the sRGB color space while reaching 300 nits of brightness. For physical dimensions, the laptop measures 16.65 millimeters thick. It manages to keep the weight down to just 1.4 kilograms, making it highly portable for a machine of this scale.
An 8 core AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor handles the heavy lifting inside the machine. Graphics tasks are managed by the integrated AMD Radeon 680M chip, which holds steady during moderate gaming and creative work. System memory includes 16 GB of fast LPDDR5 6400 RAM. For storage, you get a 512 GB solid state drive out of the box. Users can easily expand their storage later using the 2 available M.2 PCIe Gen4 x4 expansion slots.
Power comes from a 65 Wh battery. When it comes to plugging in accessories, the chassis has plenty of physical ports. You get 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A ports, 1 USB 2.0 Type A port, 1 USB Type C port with Power Delivery, and 1 USB 2.0 Type C port. A standard HDMI 1.4 connection and a 3.5 mm audio jack are also present.
