Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Story Expansion Pass Leaks Online Indicating Nine Downloadable Content Packs and Potential Spinoff Character Returns for the 2027 Trilogy Conclusion

A new registrant entry located in the Epic Games Store database has revealed forthcoming post launch plans for Square Enix. The entry lists files for a bundle called the Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Story Expansion Pass and includes placeholder slots for up to nine individual downloadable content packs. While no official statement has been made by the publisher the inclusion of a story expansion in the pack name suggests narrative content will be included with the next release.

Following the leak forums have begun to theorize what the contents of these nine downloadable packs might be. Since the endgame installment plans to wrap up the modern remake project fans speculate Square Enix may choose to use the DLC to bring in lore from other works in the Compilation of Final Fantasy 7. These might include plots adapted from the animated film Advent Children or the third person shooter Dirge of Cerberus.

Fans are especially excited to see if Genesis the main villain of the PlayStation Portable game Crisis Core appears in the project. All of these potential content sets offer one last chance for developers to tie together the large plotlines of the original 1997 game and its spinoffs. With a focused story pass developers can ensure spinoff characters and smaller story beats are included in the final product without overshadowing the core campaign.

The modern remake project has been in development since 2020 when Final Fantasy 7 Remake was released for the PlayStation 4. That initial release was followed by the expanded Intergrade version which has since been ported to PlayStation 5 PC Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X S. The second installment in the trilogy Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is currently available on all major platforms.

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation the final chapter of the remakes is set to launch during the first half of 2027. The database leak indicates that PC gamers will be able to access the story DLC when the game launches.
