Mechrevo has expanded its laptop lineup in China with a new configuration of the WuJie 14 SE. The ultraportable machine pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 7445HS processor with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of solid state storage. This updated model is now available at an introductory price of 4499 yuan before eventually rising to the standard 6499 yuan retail price.
The build quality relies on a composite material containing roughly 20% carbon fiber. This choice of materials keeps the total weight of the computer down to around 1.1 kilograms. For the display, Mechrevo opted for a 14 inch LED screen with a resolution of 1920x1200. The panel runs at a 60Hz refresh rate and covers 100% of the sRGB color space, making it suitable for everyday office tasks and light creative work.
Connectivity options are plentiful for a compact device. You get 2 full featured USB C ports that handle both DisplayPort video output and Power Delivery charging. The sides of the chassis also house 2 USB A 3.2 ports, 1 USB A 2.0 port, an HDMI output, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A physical security lock slot is built into the frame to protect the machine from theft.
A 55Wh battery powers the system. To juice it up, the laptop bundles a compact 65W power adapter that supports fast charging and can also charge your phone or other mobile accessories. Thermal management is handled by a large, quiet fan and a thick copper heat pipe to keep temperatures low under heavy workloads. Buyers can secure the promotional price directly through official retail channels starting this week.
