Vivo G5i Mid Range Mobile Launch Features Huge 7200 m Ah Battery Life and Rugged IP69 Durable Construction With Five Star Drop Resistance

Vivo has expanded its smartphone lineup with the release of the G5i, a mid range mobile device that prioritizes exceptional battery capacity and structural durability. This new release targets consumers looking for long operational life and advanced environmental protection without the premium price tag of flagship devices.

The device is built around a 6.75 inch IPS screen that pushes 1570x720 pixel resolution. Beneath the guise of the smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 series processor. This system on chip manages with Vivo's offering of 6 or 8 gigabytes of LPDDR4X RAM to keep things ticking along for multitasking. Fast storage of UFS 3.1 flash memory is used, offering 128 or 256 gigabytes depending on the model picked.

The Vivo G5i is defined by its large internal battery capacity of 7200 m Ah and support for 44W fast charging to minimize time tethered to a power outlet. However, the build quality sets the phone apart from existing handsets. The chassis fulfills both the IP68 and IP69 requirements, providing complete resilience to high power high pressure water jets, immersion in dust and liquid respectively. Vivo has been awarded a 5 star drop resistance certification to protect the screen and both internal and external components.

The main camera for the device is situated on the back of the phone with an 50 MP camera situated on the back of the device and an 8 MP camera situated on the sides of the screen for video selfies and video calls. The device supports all modern connectivity options such as NFC for mobile payments, infrared port for controlling home appliances, side mounted fingerprint scanner, 5 G support etc.

The Vivo G5i has been released in the Chinese retail sector. The lowest variant, which includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, costs $323. While the highest end variation, which includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory, costs $426.
