Microsoft has accidentally delivered an official Xbox 360 emulator directly to PC players. By examining 4 classic games recently released on PC, modders discovered the package contains Xe03, a recompiled version of the console emulator. Now, the community is already using the tool to boot retail Xbox 360 games on Windows hardware.

The discovery began when data miners started dissecting the files of the classic Xbox games that Microsoft recently brought to PC. Instead of building a brand new application to run these older games, the developers simply ported their existing Xbox 360 backward compatibility emulator to run on standard x86 computers. This emulator, known internally as Xe03, previously powered backward compatibility on the Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles. Modders quickly bypassed the outer software layers. They managed to load original game files directly.
looks like those new backwards compatible PC releases are xbox 360 GOD files, you can use GOD extractors to convert those to xbox 360 isos, which extract into standard Xbox games.

Early tests have yielded promising results across a small selection of games. Enthusiasts have successfully booted titles like Plants vs. Zombies, Steins;Gate, and Midnight Club Los Angeles with varying levels of stability. The best performing title so far is Fuzion Frenzy, which makes sense because Microsoft optimized the package themselves. While the emulator is far from perfect, the discovery of Xe03 gives community developers a massive head start on perfecting Xbox 360 emulation on PC.
