Acer has launched the Swift Air 14, a portable notebook powered by the Intel Core 5 320 Wildcat Lake processor. Known in select domestic listings as the Feifan Go Air SFA14 I31, the machine packs 12GB of LPDDR5 memory, 512GB of solid state storage, and an all metal chassis weighing just 1.19 kilograms. The laptop is currently available for preorder on major ecommerce platforms with a starting price of 5499 yuan about 815.49$.

Acer is positioning this machine directly as an alternative to the MacBook Neo. The Core 5 320 silicon runs the show, targeting everyday productivity and light creative workloads. Buyers get 12GB of fast memory alongside a 512GB solid state drive right out of the box. Government subsidies and student verification discounts can also drop the final checkout price below the standard 5499 yuan sticker tag.

The laptop comes in 4 distinct color choices called Chill Green, Soul Blue, Crush Pink, and Dream Purple. Acer put the first 3 color options up for sale immediately. The exterior is crafted with a fresh CNC manufacturing method that gives the metal casing a clean, rigid finish.

The screen is a major selling point. You get a 14 inch panel running at 1920x1200 resolution with a fast 120Hz refresh rate and 350 nits of brightness. It covers a wide color gamut and uses a 180 degree lay flat hinge so you can share your screen across a conference table. Navigation relies on a smooth glass trackpad located right below the keyboard deck.

Portability is where this machine stands out. The chassis measures only 12.99 millimeters thick, yet Acer managed to fit a large 70Wh battery inside. Audio is handled by a built in 4 speaker setup. For physical connectivity, the laptop includes 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports for high speed external displays and fast data transfers.
