AIDA64 Extreme Beta Adds Early Support for AMD Zen 7 Server Processors

Hardware diagnostics tool AIDA64 Extreme has rolled out its 8.35.8405 beta update with early support for AMD Zen 7 server processors. The release prepares the utility for next generation EPYC chips scheduled for arrival in 2028. It also introduces sensor compatibility for recent desktop systems and stability fixes for server hardware.

Adding support for Zen 7 comes well ahead of any physical hardware launch. AMD laid out its data center plans during the Advancing AI 2026 event, revealing that Zen 7 based EPYC processors will follow the Zen 6 generation in 2028. These server chips include code names like Florence, Ferrara, and Fidenza. Developer FinalWire is getting an early start on telemetry, ensuring the benchmarking suite can recognize the architecture years before volume production begins.

The beta build expands hardware monitoring across several desktop and workstation platforms. Users get updated sensor tracking for Lenovo systems including the ThinkCentre M70t Gen 6 and M75q Gen 5, alongside specific sensor polling for various Asus motherboards. Graphics detection expands as well, bringing preliminary GPU data recognition for the AMD Radeon RX 9050 and the RX 9060 XT LP graphics cards.

Server stability and benchmark accuracy receive attention in this release. The developers resolved a blue screen crash that affected Dell PowerEdge R740 rack servers. On the testing side, the GPGPU memory copy benchmark gained a performance overhaul. The software now handles large memory allocations properly, skips small memory segments to prevent cache interference, and supports 2GB block sizes for more consistent stress tests.
