AOC has launched the AGON 7 AGP497UCZD, a massive 49 inch curved gaming monitor built on a DQHD QD OLED panel. The ultrawide screen features an 1800R curvature, an ultra fast 240Hz refresh rate, and full bandwidth DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity. The flagship monitor is currently on sale in China through JD.com with a retail price of 6999 Yuan about 1040.01$.
The display uses a 32:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 5120x1440 across its 49 inch canvas. With over 20,000,000 self luminous pixels, the panel achieves a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1 and near zero black levels. A specialized Black AR anti glare coating cuts down ambient reflections. In terms of brightness, the screen hits 250 nits in standard mode and reaches a peak of 1000 nits on a 3% window under HDR. It carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification alongside UL TrueBright verification.
Color performance reaches professional standards out of the box. The panel covers 99% of DCI P3, 98% of Adobe RGB, and 100% of sRGB with true 10 bit color depth. AOC calibrates each unit individually at the factory across 12 axes to ensure a Delta E value below 1. Players can also adjust display scaling to run games in a standard 27 inch point to point view or switch between various aspect ratios.
Pixel response times clock in at 0.03ms gray to gray. The 240Hz refresh rate earns the monitor a VESA ClearMR 13000 badge to keep fast action completely blur free. For tactical gameplay, the internal software includes a Dark Boost light control engine alongside AI assisted features. These include an automatic reticle that shifts colors against busy backgrounds and an AI sniper tool with 3 zoom steps.
Heat management relies on a graphene cooling layer capable of thermal conductivity ratings up to 5300 W per meter Kelvin. This heat sink design keeps operating temperatures low to reduce the risk of panel burn in. AOC complements the cooling hardware with its OLED CARE suite. This software bundle includes pixel shifting, image refresh cycles, an automated screen saver, and taskbar dimming to extend panel lifespan over years of use.
Connectivity options lead with a cutting edge DisplayPort 2.1 port capable of 80 Gbps data bandwidth. Console gamers get 2 HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K 120Hz variable refresh rates for modern consoles. The port layout also includes 2 USB Type C connections, where the primary port delivers DP Alt mode and 90W power delivery. A built in KVM switch lets you control 2 separate computers using 1 mouse and keyboard setup. You also get 3 standard USB 3.2 Gen 1 downstream ports.
Sound output comes from dual 8W speakers tuned with DTS Virtual X spatial audio to simulate up to 7.1.4 surround sound across 7 preset modes. The monitor stand offers full height, tilt, and swivel adjustments alongside a metal hook for headphones. Around the rear, the Light FX RGB lighting system supports 14 distinct patterns and 100,000 color adjustments synchronized with Windows Dynamic Lighting.
