ASUS has introduced the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, claiming the title of the world fastest OLED gaming monitor. The 24.5 inch display pushes an unprecedented 720Hz refresh rate and has been named the official tournament screen for the PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026. This marks the first time a competitive Counter Strike Major will be played entirely on OLED panels.
PGL is taking its tournament circuit to Southeast Asia for the first time with the Singapore Major. The shift in hardware is historic. Professional esports has long relied on older panel types to avoid motion blur and latency issues. The partnership between ASUS and tournament organizer PGL brings OLED technology directly to the main competition stage. Silviu Stroie the CEO of PGL highlighted the importance of the display choice during the announcement.
A stage this historic deserves a display to match, and ROG delivered it. Together, we are giving players and fans a Major of firsts.
The flagship PG259QWS Ace model runs at 1920x1080 resolution on a TrueBlack Glossy Tandem WOLED panel. Motion clarity comes from a 720Hz refresh rate and an ultra fast 0.02ms response time, while peak brightness reaches 1700 nits. Color coverage spans 99.5% of the DCI P3 space with true 10 bit color depth and Delta E under 2 accuracy.
ASUS also added specialized physical tools for tournament play. An integrated Position Sensor gives players a real time physical readout on the screen so they can match their exact desk setup and monitor distance across different arenas. The Pro Setting to Share feature allows players to export and sync visual profiles across different panel types using the DisplayWidget Center app. Heat management relies on GaNFET silicon and a proximity sensor to extend display life, backed by a 3 year burn in warranty.
Vincent Chiou the Corporate Vice President at ASUS emphasized that competitive gaming is entering a fresh era with this hardware rollout.
Bringing the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace to the Major stage is the moment competitive Counter Strike moves to OLED. It is the fastest display, on the biggest stage.
The flagship screen is part of a larger 4 model family designed around 24.5 inch panels. Buyers who prefer different panel coatings or refresh targets have other options. The Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace offers 540Hz on Tandem WOLED with 1700 nits. For fans of quantum dot tech, the Strix OLED XG259QDPG Ace delivers 560Hz at 1800 nits on an RGB QD OLED panel, while the entry tier XG259QDNS Ace hits 360Hz with the same 1800 nit brightness.
