Casio has launched the CRW H001M 8, a miniature ring watch that doubles as a full fitness tracker. The wearable fits on a finger and packs sensors to monitor vital health metrics alongside showing the time. It is currently launching in China for roughly 295 dollars, with no word on global release plans yet.
The accessory looks like a shrunken version of the classic digital watches that made the brand famous. Despite its small size, the screen displays a digital clock and supports standard features including a stopwatch and calendar. The metal band is designed to slide onto a finger, blending vintage aesthetics with modern wellness tracking.
Inside the miniature casing, the ring houses a suite of biometric sensors to track physical health. It continuously monitors heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, body temperature, and sleep quality. Active wearers can also track daily step counts and receive estimates on calorie expenditure during workouts.
Battery life on the device lasts between 4 and 6 days on a single charge, which is competitive for a device of this volume. Casio is introducing the ring watch to the Chinese market first at a retail price of 1990 yuan. Western buyers will have to wait for official confirmation regarding a broader release.
