CMF has launched the Buds Neo, a pair of budget friendly wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation and a distinctive rotating dial on the charging case. The earbuds pack 12.4 mm dynamic drivers alongside up to 52 hours of total battery playback. They are heading to market in India with an ultra low starting price of just $21.
The sound architecture relies on large 12.4 mm dynamic drivers engineered to pump out clear highs and punchy bass tones. When you want to silence background chatter, the active noise cancellation system blocks up to 35 dB of ambient sound. Voice calls are handled by 4 built in microphones that work together to isolate speech from surrounding noise. Users can also fine tune audio frequencies through an equalizer or turn on spatial audio support for wider sound staging.
The charging case immediately stands out from rival products. Instead of using a standard oval plastic body, CMF opted for a flat square layout with rounded edges and an integrated mechanical dial. On the technical side, the earbuds run on Bluetooth 6.0 and decode standard AAC and SBC audio formats. Pairing with nearby phones or computers takes seconds thanks to Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair. Dual device connectivity is also supported, letting you link 2 audio sources at once so you can take calls on a phone while listening to audio on a laptop.
Total listening time changes depending on your noise cancellation settings. Turning ANC off yields up to 11 hours on a single charge and up to 52 hours with the case reserves. If you keep ANC switched on, playback drops to 8 hours for the earbuds and 30 hours total with the case. The earbuds have an IP54 rating to resist dust and water splashes, while the case carries an IPX2 rating against light moisture. CMF is releasing the product in black, dark blue, and white for 1999 rupees.
