RR Auction handled the sale as part of its Steve Jobs and the Computer Revolution event. Bidding escalated quickly. While historic Apple items filled most of the catalog, this modern graphics card managed to steal the spotlight. According to auction records, the GPU was originally handed out as a raffle prize during an AI developer meetup at Nvidia GTC earlier this year. It took only a few months for the hardware to turn into a major collector piece.
Standard retail units of the RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell sell between $12,000 and $16,000. These are not consumer gaming components. The card is designed strictly for enterprise workloads and heavy artificial intelligence training. Nvidia previously referred to the architecture as its most capable desktop hardware ever produced.
