GAMDIAS has launched the THOR P2 lineup, a new series of modular power supplies designed for high performance gaming setups. The power supplies meet the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards while holding an 80 Plus Platinum efficiency certification. Prices start at 119.9 USD for the base model, and all versions come with a massive 12 year warranty.
The hardware arrives in 3 capacity options, including 850W, 1050W, and 1350W configurations. Gamers can run modern graphics cards safely because these units handle massive power spikes. According to the manufacturer, they can withstand temporary power surges up to 3 times the graphics card load and 2 times the total system load. Connection is handled via a dedicated 12V 2x6 cable featuring a dual color marking on the connector to show if it is plugged in completely. Standard PCIe 6+2 pin cables are also supported for older Nvidia and AMD setups.
The internal circuitry uses Japanese capacitors rated to survive temperatures up to 105 degrees Celsius. GAMDIAS went with LLC resonant topology and synchronous rectification alongside DC to DC converters to keep voltage delivery stable. Cooling is managed by a 135mm fluid dynamic bearing fan. The fan remains completely silent and stops spinning entirely when system loads drop below 15 to 20%.
A fully modular cable design allows builders to connect only the required wires. This helps keep PC cases tidy. Protection systems are also integrated to prevent damage from overvoltage, undervoltage, power overloads, short circuits, overcurrent, and overheating.
