Game Science Releases 15 Minutes of Black Myth Zhong Kui Gameplay

Game Science has published 15 minutes of early gameplay for Black Myth Zhong Kui, the official follow up to its hit action title. The video reveals the new protagonist fighting monsters across desolate environments before concluding with a large boss battle. But the development team made sure to point out that the soulslike is still in early production.

The footage introduces Zhong Kui, the legendary vanquisher of demons, stepping into the lead role previously held by the Monkey King. Combat appears fast and methodical as the protagonist cuts down enemies in atmospheric, muted settings. The demonstration moves through several enemy encounters, showing off weapon combos and agile dodges before transitioning into a full boss confrontation. It wraps up with a montage of story cinematics that hint at a darker narrative tone.

Game Science shared this look at the project exactly 2 years after the debut of Black Myth Wukong. The studio previously dropped the initial reveal trailer 12 months ago to establish the next entry in the series. While the footage reflects a working build running in real time, the developers confirmed that production is far from finished. Players eager to jump into the next chapter will have to wait as the team continues polishing mechanics and expanding the world.
