LG Electronics has announced the xboom Power Series, a fresh lineup of party speakers built for singing and group entertainment. The hardware combines acoustics tuned by musician will.i.am with automated vocal removal tools that strip singing tracks out of existing songs. The lineup spans 3 distinct power tiers, though regional pricing has not yet been detailed.
The new family includes 3 hardware options tailored to different venue sizes. The flagship Power 9000 delivers 440 watts of continuous output for large outdoor gatherings. For mid sized events and patios, the Power 7000 pushes 340 watts. The smaller Power 5000 puts out 260 watts for indoor family events, keeping the same core entertainment tools in a more portable footprint.
LG is putting karaoke front and center rather than treating it like a secondary add on. An intelligent vocal remover uses algorithms to strip vocals from standard music libraries, eliminating the need to buy specialized karaoke tracks. Singers can use a key changer to shift pitch to match their voice, and a physical smart stand holds a phone or tablet to display lyrics. Two microphone inputs allow pairs to sing duets straight out of the box.
To handle different environments, the hardware runs room calibration software that measures the layout of the space and tweaks sound output automatically. For extra volume across large yards, Auracast allows users to link multiple compatible xboom speakers together wirelessly. Lee Jeong seok, head of the Audio Business Division at LG, explained the focus on active party participation.

Custom multicolor lighting rings and DJ sound pads wrap up the hardware package. LG confirmed the xboom Power Series is rolling out across select global markets, with local pricing and exact retail availability to be confirmed by regional distributors.
