MSI has launched the Crosshair A16 HX MLG Edition in global markets. The new gaming laptop features a white chassis with Major League Gaming themed styling and exclusive packed in accessories. However, pricing details for this premium RTX 5070 powered machine remain unconfirmed.
Under the hood, the machine runs on the AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor, which packs 16 cores and 32 threads. Graphic tasks are handled by up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU equipped with 12GB of fast GDDR7 video memory. To maintain top tier performance under heavy gaming loads, the system delivers a combined CPU and GPU power draw of up to 190W.
The visuals are presented on a 16 inch QHD+ display that supports a 240Hz refresh rate. It also covers 100% of the DCI P3 color gamut to ensure accurate color reproduction. Heat is managed by the proprietary Cooler Boost cooling system, which uses 2 fans and 5 heat pipes to keep temperatures down during intense play.
Users can expand the system through 2 SO DIMM memory slots that support up to 96GB of RAM. Storage options are versatile, with support for both PCIe Gen 4 and high speed PCIe Gen 5 solid state drives. Physical ports include USB C, HDMI 2.1, USB A, and Gigabit Ethernet, while wireless connectivity is handled by Wi Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
The physical package is where the MLG Edition separates itself from the standard model. Along with the custom white chassis design, the laptop ships with a bundle of gaming gear. Buyers will find an MLG Edition gaming mouse, a gaming headset, and a matching extra long mouse pad included inside the retail box.
