Nokia has appointed Emma Falck as President of Mobile Infrastructure and a member of the Nokia Group Leadership Team. Based in Espoo, she arrives from Siemens to guide the telecom division through its next development cycle. The move puts an executive with a background in computational physics at the head of the company primary cellular network business.
Before stepping into her current post at Nokia, Falck served as Executive Vice President of Products within the Smart Infrastructure Buildings unit at Siemens. Her responsibilities there involved directing global teams across product creation and supply chain logistics. Her background also includes leadership roles across industrial sectors, having worked as a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group and directing regional business units for KONE in China. She also served on the board of directors for Fluence Energy for 4 years.
Falck brings a strong research background to the telecommunications sector. She holds a doctorate in computational physics from Aalto University, followed by postdoctoral research at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Her appointment signals that Nokia wants technical precision guiding its cellular infrastructure as mobile networks expand capacity across global markets.
