Razer has expanded its gaming keyboard lineup with the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic Mini and the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic Tenkeyless. These are the first keyboards from the brand to feature Hall Effect magnetic switches instead of standard optical ones. The new lineup starts at $120 in the US market.
The two models cater to different space preferences on your desk. The Magnetic Tenkeyless offers an 80 percent layout, while the Magnetic Mini comes in a tighter 65 percent form factor. Both keyboards share linear switches with an average latency of 0.6 ms alongside an 8000 Hz polling rate. Physical wired connectivity is included as an option to keep input delays as low as possible.
Razer packed these devices with dedicated software features designed for competitive play. A feature called Snap Tap prioritizes the last keystroke between opposite directional inputs to make counter strafing easier. Another option called Snap Flex allows you to map 2 actions to a single key. Finally, the system uses Dual Keypress Priority to block accidental inputs from neighboring directional keys during intense matches.
The physical build features an aluminum top plate and durable PBT keycaps with customizable backlighting. Razer is pricing the ultra compact Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic Mini at $120, while the larger Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic Tenkeyless goes for $140. Both devices are currently targeting the competitive gaming crowd in the US market.
