SilverStone ALTA T2 All Aluminum Enterprise Case Launched for Large Server Boards and Cooling

SilverStone has launched the ALTA T2, an all aluminum full tower case built for heavy enterprise computing. The massive chassis stands on 4 rolling wheels, supports server grade motherboards, and provides room for multiple power supply units. It is now listed on retail platforms with a premium price tag of 10999 yuan about 1631.12$.

The ALTA T2 is built around an integrated aluminum frame measuring 260 by 732 by 660 millimeters. It is heavy, which is why SilverStone included 4 caster wheels on the bottom to help users move the system around the workspace. Inside, the enclosure provides 11 expansion slots to handle complex multi card hardware configurations.

Motherboard compatibility is extensive. The main tray fits large server boards measuring up to 15.12 by 13.2 inches, alongside XL ATX, SSI EEB, and standard smaller sizes. Builders have 411 millimeters of horizontal space for graphics cards, and SilverStone includes a dedicated multi GPU support bracket right in the box. CPU air coolers can measure up to 174 millimeters tall without touching the side panel.

Power delivery is flexible enough for dual processor workstations. The primary power supply bay supports standard PS2 ATX units as well as 2U CRPS redundant units for continuous uptime. If a single supply is not enough, the chassis lets you install a second PS2 ATX unit inside the main compartment.

Storage capacity is equally massive. The front exterior features 3 exposed bays for 5.25 inch optical drives or front panel hot swap cages. Inside the case, the drive cages can hold 12 drives in either 3.5 inch or 2.5 inch sizes. SilverStone also added 3 dedicated 2.5 inch mounting points behind the tray for extra solid state drives.

Cooling high heat workstation chips requires serious airflow. The case ships with 2 massive 180 millimeter black fans and 1 120 millimeter exhaust fan already installed. For liquid cooling loops, the internal frame can hold up to 3 separate 420 millimeter radiators simultaneously. The front intake area can also mount dual 180 millimeter radiators, while the left section of the chassis provides dedicated mounting space for a water cooling reservoir or distribution plate.
