The display uses an EL Gen 3 panel featuring a QD OLED Penta Tandem layout. AOC upgraded the internal light structure from 4 layers to 5 layers, combining 3 blue layers with 2 green emitting layers. This design delivers a peak HDR brightness of 1000 nits and earns VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. Static contrast is rated at 1,500,000 to 1, while color reproduction covers 99% of the DCI P3 color gamut.
AOC highlights this unit as the first monitor in the industry with factory HDR color calibration. Color accuracy stays below Delta E 1 in DCI P3 mode and maintains an average below Delta E 2 in DisplayHDR mode, accounting for brightness shifts. Speed is a major focus, offering a 320Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms gray to gray response time. Competitive players also get a 1 touch option to crop the 26.5 inch view down to a 24.5 inch window, along with legacy aspect ratio options including 1280x960 in 4:3 and 1280x1024 in 5:4.
