Asus has launched the ROG G1000, a high performance gaming desktop featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and an ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. The machine stands out with a holographic case design, custom LED display fans, and an isolated liquid cooling chamber. The flagship configuration is currently available in the US starting at $4999.
The chassis focuses heavily on airflow and visual customization. The side panel houses a massive 380 mm fan equipped with 720 individual LEDs, while the front panel holds 2 additional 215 mm fans. Through the Asus Armoury Crate software, users can turn these fans into customizable display surfaces for animations, custom text, and real time hardware telemetry.
To keep processor temperatures down, Asus engineered an isolated chamber called the ROG Thermal Atrium. This separate compartment holds a 420 mm liquid cooling radiator and 3 intake fans measuring 140 mm each, pulling cold air directly from the outside. The graphics card and power supply also use independent airflow paths to prevent heat buildup inside the main compartment.
Under the hood, the system runs on an X870 chipset motherboard. The current top tier model combines the 8 core Ryzen 7 9800X3D with the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080, backed by 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of fast solid state storage. Asus plans to release an even higher tier version equipped with the Ryzen 9 9950X3D chip down the line.
The desktop is on sale now for US buyers at a retail price of $4999.
