Blizzard Entertainment has announced World of Warcraft Forever, a third standalone branch of the MMO alongside Modern and Classic. The game expands the original Vanilla era with 3 new zones, 9 dungeons, 2 raids, and a playable race called the Skyborne. Beta access begins September 17 before the official launch on November 4.
The project serves as a parallel continuation of the original Azeroth map rather than a simple replay of old content. Forever preserves the systems of the early game while adding over 1000 original quests across previously unseen regions. Players can progress through these territories without altering the classic progression curve. The addition of the Skyborne introduces a fresh character option directly into the early history of the world.
Endgame progression expands immediately on day 1. Blizzard is adding 9 complete dungeons alongside 2 full raid instances tailored to the classic ruleset. This structure offers dedicated guilds new tactical encounters without introducing the mechanics of later expansions. The development team designed the package for players seeking fresh challenges within the original sandbox.
Public testing begins shortly to evaluate server stability and balance. The beta opens September 17, giving participants a window to test the new zones, quests, and class interactions. The full game releases globally on November 4 across all supported regions.
