Huawei has officially announced the Watch 6 series smartwatches running on HarmonyOS 7. The new lineup introduces on wrist AI assistance, specialized 24 hour blood pressure risk tracking, and a selection of premium case materials across standard and Pro models. Pricing for the new wearable family starts at 2799 yuan in China.
The standard Watch 6 comes in 2 sizes with completely different materials. The 42mm variant uses aviation grade aluminum alloy and comes in Frost White, Dawn Gold, and Moon Black. The larger 46mm edition steps up to 316L stainless steel paired with spherical sapphire glass, available in Azure Blue and Deep Space Black.
Huawei is also offering the Watch 6 Pro for users who want extra durability and exclusive finishes. The 43mm Pro edition comes in Ceramic White and Starlight White. The top tier 46mm Pro edition arrives in Titanium Silver, Jupiter Brown, and a dark Space Exploration finish.
Software is a core focus on this generation. Running HarmonyOS 7, the Watch 6 series brings the Celia AI assistant directly to your wrist. The system syncs with smartphones to read incoming text messages, automatically sorting urgent alerts and filtering out unwanted communications.
Health tracking gets a major technical upgrade through a partnership with Shanghai Ruijin Hospital and the Shanghai Institute of Hypertension. The watches provide 24 hour assessments for hypertension risks, alerting users to potential cardiovascular changes. An AI health engine analyzes multiple biometric streams at once to flag irregular patterns and generate personalized wellness recommendations.
Official retail pricing starts at 2,799 yuan (approx. $417 USD) for the 42mm Watch 6, with local subsidy programs reducing that figure to 2,379.15 yuan (approx. $355 USD). The 46mm version retails for 2,899 yuan (approx. $432 USD), or 2,464.15 yuan (approx. $367 USD) with applied discounts.
The Watch 6 Pro starts at 3,499 yuan (approx. $521 USD) for the 43mm model and climbs to 3,599 yuan (approx. $536 USD) for the 46mm edition, with subsidized prices dropping to 2,999 yuan (approx. $447 USD) and 3,099 yuan (approx. $462 USD) respectively. Pre orders opened right after the launch presentation, with open retail shipping scheduled for later this month.
