Mechrevo has launched the Star 15 Intel Edition laptop on Chinese retail platforms. The thin machine combines an Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor with a 15.3 inch 165Hz OLED display and a massive 90Wh battery. Pricing starts at 6999 yuan, which is roughly $970, while local subsidies lower the purchase price to around $825.
At the center of the laptop sits the Core Ultra 7 256V processor paired with 16GB of onboard LPDDR5X memory running at 8533 MT per s. Storage is handled by a fast 1TB solid state drive. Users can switch between 17W and 30W performance modes depending on their current workload. The all metal CNC unibody frame keeps total weight down to 1.4 kilograms while maintaining a slim profile of only 15.9 millimeters.
The 15.3 inch OLED display operates at a 2560x1600 resolution and outputs 500 nits of peak brightness. It supports a fluid 165Hz refresh rate alongside 100% coverage of the DCI P3 color space for accurate visuals. Audio is driven by a Nahimic certified sound system featuring 4 speakers arranged with 2 dedicated tweeters and 2 woofers for surround sound playback.
The built in 90Wh battery delivers over 24 hours of general operational life on a single charge. For input, the laptop features a 6.07 inch trackpad alongside a keyboard equipped with a dedicated numeric keypad and full size arrow keys. Physical security includes a fingerprint reader built into the power key and a manual privacy shutter over the webcam.
External connectivity provides 1 Thunderbolt 4 USB C port, 1 standard USB C port, 2 USB A ports, 1 HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless connections are handled by integrated Wi Fi 6E networking. The laptop is available for preorder across domestic retail channels.
