Retroid Pocket has announced the Duo Lite Plus, an updated dual screen Android gaming handheld. The device pairs the compact dual display body of the Lite model with the faster Qualcomm Q 7790 processor found in the standard edition. Early pricing begins at $149.00.
The unit retains the exact exterior dimensions of the previous Lite version while delivering a notable jump in processing power. Swapping out the older Qualcomm QCS6125 processor, the Q 7790 chip allows the device to run demanding emulation tasks with greater stability. The system is equipped with 8GB of memory and 128GB of onboard storage for game libraries and Android titles.
The dual display configuration remains identical to earlier models. The upper screen is a 5.5 inch LCD panel running at 1920x1080 resolution at 60Hz. Below it sits a secondary 4.2 inch LCD touchscreen displaying 960x720 resolution at 60Hz. This setup gives retro gaming enthusiasts appropriate aspect ratios for legacy dual display platforms without distorting the image.
Retroid Pocket is offering an early discount for initial buyers, pricing the handheld at $149.00 (4GB/64GB: $149.00 | 6GB/128GB: $169.00 | 8GB/128GB: $219.00). Customer shipments are scheduled to begin in the coming weeks following the pre order phase.
